Balmain brings fashion to the airport runway

The creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousting, launches the take-off of the latest jet-setter-inspired Fall-Winter 2021 collection for the Destination: Above & Beyond runway showcase. With the help of Air France, Balmain transported the runway to the wing of a massive jet for the men’s and women’s collection with designs created for first-class travel.

The FW2021 collection featured a variety of casual and formal styles while showcasing the revamped PB monogram for clothing as well as accessories. All pieces embraced the Balmain brand esthetic embracing French fashion with traditional design aspects incorporated into modern styles.

A jet-setter collection wouldn’t be complete without matching luggage featuring traditional hard luggage and soft handbag options with the new Balmain monogram. The FW21 collection color was green with all olive green styles including futuristic tailored suits with matching hard luggage and flowing free-form dresses.

Another popular color that drew attention to the collection is a variety of neon yellow pieces including a jumpsuit with olive green accents and a matching neon duffle bag featuring a monogram imprint. The collection also featured detailed embellished couture dresses that Balmain is known for with one stunning sheer pink dress with custom braiding on the front bodice.

Models walked the airplane wing runway for the elegant style and the ready-to-wear styles were featured in a choreographed runway with multiple models rushing to catch their flights on the tarmac. The ready-to-wear styles were featured in a variety of colors including red, blue, white, silver, gold, and a couple of all monogram ensembles. The collection featured a variety of new accessories including the eye-catching clutch handbag in the shape of a paper airplane.
