The 2013 Academy Awards red carpet was filled with fantastically styled stars, showing off creations from A list designers like Prada, Versace, Armani Prive, and Dior Couture. We spotted some of our favorite leading ladies like Sandra Bullock who shined in Elie Saab and Jennifer Aniston who wowed in Valentino. There were even a few new trends we noticed for the evening like Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway both rocking backwards necklaces accenting their beautiful shoulders and nap of the neck. Overall this year’s Academy Award show red carpet was not tainted with too many fashion flubs, making it all the more harder to pick out the three best dress ladies.

Jessica Chastain

The Zero Dark Thirty star was among one of the first ladies to arrive on the red carpet and she started things off with a bang, Jessica looked stunning in an Old Hollywood inspired Armani Prive rose gold crystal encrusted gown.  She accented her flawless dress with vintage Harry Winston diamonds. Because of Jessica’s fair skin and soft red hair this dress could have easily made her look overly pale but with the addition of her scarlet lips, she kept her look fresh, sultry and simply sexy.

 Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana who was a presenter at last night’s awards glowed in her unique and lovely Alexis Mabille gown. The gown had so many different elements that it’s a wonder that the petite star was able to pull of this look. But to anchor the dresses ombre fluted skirt, belted waist and ruffled bodice Zoe opted for super simple accessories and a relaxed and sleek hair do. The most spectacular thing about this dress on Zoe was the cut, it was tailored to perfection and really accented her body type beautifully.

 Jennifer Lawrence

The Best Actress winner who is now the new face of Dior looked absolutely statuesque in a voluminous pale pink Dior Haute Couture gown. Jennifer looked super fresh and despite the fact that this look could have easily gone bridal, she maintains her youthful edgy with the addition of a unique backwards necklace by Chopard.
