Pastels are perfect because if you aren’t used to wearing color, they are washed out versions of different colors so they aren’t as bright. The first way to wear a pastel is by wearing dark pieces with it. Mixing in dark colors can even out the look, and looks really cool. Say you are wearing a pastel blue jacket, wearing a black t-shirt underneath looks great because it makes the color of the jacket pop.
Another way you can wear pastel is by giving it a “tone on tone” style. It breaks up the color giving it a more attractive to the eye appeal. It mixes up your outfit and gives it some spice. Say you were wearing a pastel pink, instead of just wearing a plain t-shirt, you could find one that incorporates stripes or patterns of different colors.
And last, but definitely not least, is to wear different pastels on top of each other. You can wear a cooler pastel on top of a lighter pastel, it is fun and chic. And remember, pastels aren’t just for Easter!
