The Met Gala is one of the biggest nights for celebrities and fashion on the East Coast. Some would even call it the fashion party of the year. Celebs crash the invitation-only party with some of the most unique outfits and styles that rival all others for the rest of the year all to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art- Costume Institute. This year’s theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion.
Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, and even Serena Williams were some of the best dressed of the night. One celebrity, however, took it a step further and sacrificed himself and his body in the name of high fashion.
Harry Styles, who is known for his role in the hit band One Direction and as an award-winning solo artist, took a leap of faith by walking down the red carpet with freshly pierced ears. With the support of his stylist Harry Lambert, Harry Styles paired his black-sheer Gucci shirt, black trousers, and high heeled boots with the perfect accessory – a pearl Gucci earring.
Harry revealed that the idea came as the last minute finds on the Gucci website four days before the event. And just like that, the decision was made to pierce his ear in the name of charity and fashion.
