If you’re anything like us, your hair goes through a lot on a regular basis: styling with heat, applying different products, and lots of detangling in between. We often forget how important our hair is until we see those split ends or one too many hairs in the drain so taking care of it properly is crucial to avoid these things happening in excess in the future. You take care of your skin to keep it youthful and healthy so why not do the same with your hair?
Keep your hair healthy and happy by following these tips:

Get your hair trimmed. Daily or frequent styling with heat is drying out your tips. Get them trimmed every 5 to 8 weeks to keep your hair looking its best.

Eat enough proteins and vitamins. Your hair is made of protein so eating protein will make it grow faster. Eat lean meats like chicken and fish and nuts for snacking. Also, taking supplements like Biotin and fish oil can help as well.

Apply a hair mask. Pamper your hair and give it back its shine with a hair mask. You can buy one if you want but we prefer going the natural route and just combining some olive oil and a banana and applying it for about 20 minutes.

Go easy on the heat stylers. Flat irons, curling wands, and blowdryers are tools we can’t live without but your hair loves it when you let it air dry. Every time you use heat you’re damaging your hair so let your hair do it’s thing a few times a week to prevent damage from occuring.

Buy shampoos without sulfates. You want to keep as many natural oils on your hair as possible and sulfates do the opposite. Sure, they strip your hair from dirt but they’re also drying your hair by stripping it of its natural oils. Avoid sulfates as much as you can to keep your healthy.
