The figures behind London Fashion Week

In case you haven’t heard, London Fashion Week is a really big deal. The bi-annual event brings so many of the latest and greatest in fashion, design, and modeling to one stage for some of the best releases of the year.

London Fashion Week first happened in 1985 and since then, has become one of the “Big Four” fashion shows in the world, sharing the title with such illustrious shows as New York, Milan, and Paris. The twice-annual event features over 250 designers and is frequented by over 5,000 members of the press and fashion buyers. In total, buyers spend over 100 million pounds during the week-long fashion show.

The spring/summer focused fashion show will set the stage or the hottest looks for the upcoming year. Some of the latest fashion trends to look out for include British designer Molly Goddard. After her showing at the fall/winter fashion show, she is one of the most anticipated designers of the show.

Another designer to look out or is Victoria Beckham. This is her third fashion week showcasing her namesake clothing brand that was first released in 2008.
