Amazon Fashion teams up with the CFDA and Vogue

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue are responding to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for the fashion industry with their new project, A Common Thread. The new project was founded to provide help with micro-grants for small and medium fashion businesses.

This project inspired the CFDA, Vogue, and Amazon to do more by creating a digital storefront, Common Threads: Vogue x Amazon Fashion. This storefront will help struggling businesses improved their e-commerce sales and Amazon kickstarted the project with a donation of $500,000 to A Common Thread.

COVID-19 has impacted the fashion industry with fewer customers on the floors of department stores and brick-and-mortar locations, with more customers looking online for their shopping experience. The new storefront will allow fashion businesses to create a catalog where they can add items and edit prices for Amazon customers.
