The soft wavy locks go with any fashion style from floral and feminine, to edgy and rocker chic. Celebrities often rock this hairstyle in daily life and on the red carpet, which attests to its versatility and popularity. Best of all this hairstyle is easily mastered with a few helpful tips and tricks.
D.I.Y Sea Salt Spray
Nothing is better for helping your hair curl into beachy waves than beach water. Many celebrity hairstylists recommend using a sea salt spray before curling your hair, but why go out and buy one when you can make it at home.
What You’ll Need:
1 Cup of water
2 Teaspoons of sea salt
4-5 Drops of your favorite essential oil (we love lavender & vanilla)
1 Recycled spray bottle (save one from an empty hair product)
Just load the ingredients into your spray bottle, shake and that’s it, apply before styling to help set your wavy locks.
Braided Waves
If you’re in a hurry, but want that sexy beachy wave look then this is the perfect solution for you.
1. Spray a bit of sea salt spray onto your dried hair.
2. Then separate your hair into four sections, two in the front and two in the back.
3. Braid each section starting as close to the scalp as possible.
4. Then evenly flat iron each braid a few times, being sure not to hold the iron in one place for too long.
5. Unbraid your hair, finger comb any areas that need separating, then spritz with flexible hold hairspray.
( If it’s humid out consider using mousse when hair is damp and letting it dry, then starting the above process)
