Adut Akech won’t stand for racism in the fashion industry

There is no place for racism in the world today, let alone in the world of fashion. This model was outraged over the mistake of one of the biggest fashion magazines and icon in the fashion industry.

Adut Akech is a South Sudanese model that got her start three years ago in Australia. From the moment she first started modeling, Adut Akech has crushed the stage and has made quite the name for herself starring in shows and campaigns for such names as Saint Laurent, Zara, and Valentino.

She has also seen many magazine features for US Vogue, UK Vogue, Vogue Italia, and even Vogue Paris, solidifying as an international superstar. But it’s a recent feature from Who Magazine that has truly made a statement for Adut.

The August issue of Who Magazine has been making headlines for what Adut Akech has brought to the attention of the world. In the recent feature, the magazine stated that a picture of another model was Adut Akech. Adut was instantly outraged and called out Who Magazine for the racial article that implied that all black women were the same.
