There’s no better feeling in the world than coming home after a long day, taking off those heels, and soaking in to a nice warm bath. The warm water envelopes your body and the stress is almost instantly gone. Even better if you’ve lit up a few lavender scented candles. Can we drop everything and do that now?

Warm bathes are a great treat for your whole body especially when you have bath salts to add into the water. Plain water just doesn’t cut it and sometimes buying bath salts can be a tad expensive so the next best thing is to make your own.

Try out this easy DIY bath soak.

You’ll need these products:

1. 3 cups of Epsom salt
2. 2 cups of sea salt
3. 1 cup of baking soda
4. Essential oil (of your choice)
5. Lavender flowers
6. Rosemary
7. Gloves
8. Empty wine bottle or Mason jar
9. Soap or food coloring (optional)

Now follow these steps:

Step 1. Combine the Epsom salt, sea salt, and baking soda.

Step 2. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Lavender is always a good choice because it’s a stress reliever but you can use whatever scent you prefer.

Step 3. This step is optional but if you want to color your bath salts, add a few drops of soap or food coloring and mix well with your gloves on. It won’t stain your body because the water dissolves the color. The coloring will make the salts look prettier in the see-thru wine bottle but it’s not necessary!

Step 4. Chop up fresh rosemary and add it to the mixture. It can be as much as you want but half of a cup will do.

Step 5. Package your bath salts in the wine bottle. Place some lavender flowers and rosemary sprigs at the bottom and then add your bath salts. Alternate between the salts and flowers to make for a pretty presentation!
