Siriano fans know by now that the designer believes that fashion has no shapes, sizes, boundaries, or rules. His collaboration with Porter has redefined red carpet norms and sets a new precedent with the tuxedo ball gown.

Taking its roots from 90s Alexander McQueen, gender-bending styles have recently been all the rage on the runways. The trend has even trickled down to commercial appeal with millennial pink becoming the color of decade for both men’s and women’s fashion.
Porter wasn’t the only celeb to blur the gender lines of the Oscars red carpet. Crazy Rich Asians star and rapper Awkwafina shined in a metallic monochromatic DSquared pants suit.
