This year the Champs-Élysées Christmas lighting was launched by none other than the world-famous creative director for Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. The annual lighting of the most famous avenue in France has a long-standing tradition during the festive season and this year leaves us with nothing short of the beautiful standard of Paris Christmas decorations.
Lagerfeld launched the lighting of the avenue on Thursday 22nd of November 2018 and this year’s edition is named ‘flamboyance.’ On the avenue, there are 400 trees to be lighted up in dazzling red and the lighting of Champs-Élysées is meant to create awe in the eyes of the people of France. The Champs-Élysées will be lit every day from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am, except for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve when the lights will be left to shine all night long.
