When most of think of pastel colors it’s usually the warmer months that we associate them with. Tons of soft colors, a warm breeze, and maybe some lavender ice cream at hand. But this season is looking brighter than ever with winter whites and pastels popping up everywhere. Long gone are the days where coats have to black and blue; we prefer an icy pastel blue instead.

Fall pastels were big this year and were carried over to the winter. It’s seen mostly in the shape of long wool coats and stays within blue and pink and sometimes yellow and peach. Skirts and over-sized sweaters are also part of the trend so there are options for you to choose from. The key for wearing winter pastels is that you must pair it with either neutral or dark but you also have the option of pairing it with like colors like winter white. It’s the darker colors that warm up the look (literally) and make it look more balanced.

We like wearing pastels in the form of a long wool ice blue coat paired with some black skinny jeans and navy blue New Balance sneakers for a day of errands in a colder climate. For ideas on what to wear at night or for warmer climates, make sure to watch the video.
