First Lady Melania Trump went on a surprise trip to visit troops in Iraq. First Lady Trump is being criticized for her choice and that is for wearing yellow Timberland boots to visit the troops in Iraq.
She paid the US troops in Iraq a surprise visit at the Al Asad Air Base in Iraq on Wednesday. She ditched heels and rather wore a pair of yellow Timberland boots for this surprise visit and ever since she did, she has been dragged by many as so many criticism as surrounded her choice of footwear.
While some have labeled the First Lady’s footwear choice as “out of touch,” others have regarded it as inappropriate for that kind of occasion. For the surprise visit to the US troops in Al Asad Air Base west of Baghdad, Melania and Donald Trump marked this as their first trip to the country after almost two years in office.
The yellow Timberland boots has still drawn a lot of backlash and criticism despite that the fact the Timberland boots were sturdy, flat and waterproof and even seem appropriate for that kind of visit. The Timberland boots are basically known in the world of hip-hop, music and fashion.
They are more popular in those cultures actually as it is their thing. According to a lot of critics, the Timberland boots are resilient work boots thereby making it a somewhat unexpected and inappropriate choice for Melania Trump.
Although this is not the first time the First Lady of the United States, has been criticized for her fashion choice. It is also interesting to know that many people have come to her defense as they do not understand what the fuss is about since this is not even the first time the First Lady as been spotted wearing Timberlands.
