Manhattan socialite and street style icon, Olivia Palermo, has teamed up with Italian luxury footwear designer Aquazzura for a six style shoe capsule that will debut in September.
Newly married Palermo has long been a fan of the Florence-based label and could be seen often wearing their intricate and eclectic designs in street style photographs around New York City.
“Olivia basically has been our unofficial ambassador,” Edgardo Osorio, the brand’s designer, told WWD. “She’s always wearing the shoes. We’re friends and we were talking more than a year ago about a small capsule that would be Olivia’s eye and aesthetic but with the Aquazzura style.”
The capsule will include styles such and over-the-knee boots, gladiator sandals, bejeweled sandals, suede flats and pumps and suede booties.
Although the capsule is meant to be somewhat reasonable in price, it will still cost as much as any other designer price tags; prices range from $600 to $1,625.
“Everything is so expensive these days and you still want to have things that you can find and have quality and the design aesthetic and be happy,” said Palermo.
