Utility denim is taking over for Fall fashion
Cargo-haters, turn away. The utility look is back for fall and has manifested in the world of denim.
Though not nearly as functional as true cargo shorts, utility denim is one of the latest trends to spring out of everyone’s favorite go-to pants. With multiple pockets (though they might not all be real), straps for attachable chains (don’t do it) and a range of fit, there is utility denim for everyone.
Ranging from subtle workers-washes to full-blown 15 pocket pants, this trend can be incorporated effortlessly with band tee’s and sneakers, or elevated with a silky blouse and pumps. Throw on a different shade denim jacket or leather bomber for an edgy look, or an oversized blazer and bikini top for the perfect off-duty look.
And if you score a pair with real pocket, load ‘em up with all the snacks. That’s what pockets are for, right?
Find inspiration for this new trend below. Seen throughout fashion month, utility denim is expected to stick around through spring, where it can be paired with feminine lace tanks, tye-dye, and bucket hats. But for now, mixing in camel tones, coats, booties, and beanies is the way to go.
