Menswear inspired, skin bearing, terrifically tailored and fabulously unique are just some of the terms we can use when talking about the Altuzarra spring 2014 collection.

This collect was subtly sexy and had the perfect blend of eclectic elements, like tassels and indigo textile patches, combined with bold shapes like elongated ponchos, crisp shirt dresses and side slit skirts. The use of metallics in this collect was also particularly stunning featuring a Grecian inspired draped gold top as well as metallic dresses  and skirts with billowy waist accents.  Overall this collection was beautiful in its complexity and showcased the perfect merging of playful prints and classic tailored silhouettes.

Ease was the key word at the Jason Wu show where dreamy fabrics and relaxed silhouettes met a very neutral color palette complete with playful sexy accents. Take for example his totally chic jumpsuits ranging from classic black with tuxedo lapel accents to a shimmering leg bearing sequin option.

Barely there spaghetti strap slip dresses were another major factor at this show and we loved the sheer accents, slightly fluted hems, button embellishments and asymmetrical hems that made this 90’s style dress unique and interesting for spring 2014.  Another standout piece we have to mention is the creamy camel trench dress accented with sexy corset lacework on the back. In terms of accessories the structured bags were absolute perfection and the range of strappy heels and sandals accented the collection perfectly.

Clean, simple, sexy and intellectual is how we would describe the Narcisco Rodrigues spring 2013 RTW collection. It was tinged with asymmetrical geometric hemlines on otherwise classically cut dresses and skirts as well as a slew of quarter sleeved crop tops.

Another stand out style that we also loved was the series of waif-ish slip dresses with sheer accents, which were totally red carpets ready and sure to seen on a few celebrities this season. In terms of prints Narciso Rodriguez was said to be looking under a microscope at cells for the inspiration behind his abstract shimmery prints. Overall this collection was the perfect combo of sleek simplicity and delightfully sexy femininity.

While it’s true much of the chatter surrounding the Victoria Beckham show was centered around the photo of her gorgeous daughter Harper sitting front row perched on daddy David’s lap while Anna Wintour casted an admiring smile from the next seat over.  However, the clothing deserved quite a bit of attention as well.

Ironically enough we would describe Victoria Beckham’s collection in much the same way we would describe Victoria Beckham; polished, chic, sexy, tailored to perfection and just a bit edgy. This collection was all about playing with proportions, lines and geometric conceptual shapes.  We really enjoyed the sporty aesthetic of this collection which was obvious by way of a series of pleated tennis-like micro miniskirts.  We also loved the use of pinks and reds sprinkled in amongst her predominantly monochrome color scheme of black, white and some gray. The use of outerwear like varsity jackets and cuffed oversized blazers  made for an interesting departure from her typical silhouettes.  Other notable pieces included fun Bermuda shorts, ruffled hem tunic dresses and skirts as well as fantastic geometric print bags. What we loved most about her collection was that it was obviously wearable for the everyday woman.
