The U.K. is known for the smaller boutique hats or fascinators, but milliner Tracy Rose is making a new name for big hat designers.

The fascinator is an accessory compared to Rose’s giant hats, acting as quite the statement piece. She chose the perfect occasion to unveil her newest creation at The Royal Ascot in the U.K.

The Royal Ascot is a five-day event for horse racing that can give the Kentucky Derby a run for their money. Much like the Derby people are looking to one fashion item to make a statement, giant outrageous hats.

The tradition of the Ascot started around 1711, featuring the finest race horses and ambiance with fashion being the top of the list. Among the modest style of royalty attending, Tracy Rose plans to steal the show with her designs.

Rose has attended all five days of the race for the past couple of years running, while designing five hats for the separate days every year. She doesn’t stop at hats either, she incorporates her outfits and beauty styles around her hat designs.

For the 2016 Royal Ascot she used her name as inspiration for a large rose hat for the Ascot Ladies Day. Rose is self-taught using attracting feminine features for her designs. Over that last four years Rose’s hats was featured over 200 times through publications and 90 times over television broadcast.

This year she wore a massive floral hat that took the designer months to hand-craft and this is just one of the five hats she will be wearing over the course of events at The Royal Ascot this week. Check out the videos above for more crazy hats and milliner designers.
