The EMAs were held at Wembley Arena in London. Host Rita Ora shocked fans when she arrived on the MTV EMAs red carpet in a bathrobe but it turned out to be part of a skit to open the awards ceremony.
The ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ hit-maker shocked photographers when she posed in a dressing gown and had a towel wrapped around her head. The bathrobe didn’t fail to show off her gorgeous legs. Additionally, she was accessorized with gorgeous diamond jewelry, including a choker and chandelier earrings that had a whopping price tag of $7.8 million. This unusual red carpet outfit was part of a skit to open the show, where she was shown to have been invited to host at the last minute and had to rush to the London Underground in just a towel to make it to the ceremony on time.
After Eminem’s opening performance, Rita apologized to everyone for not being ready in time. However, this was not any ordinary hotel bathrobe. The look was straight from the runway from Palomo Spain’s Spring 2018 collection. Later in the show, Ora changed into a short bathrobe while she was on stage. And, to top off this “iconic” bathrobe red carpet look, she eventually changed into a simple black dress with a necklace that resembled a gardening tool.
Additionally, singer Demi Lovato also had a “stunt outfit” at the awards show. She wore an oversized checkered suit which strongly resembled cozy pajamas.
