Art Paris Inspires The Epidemy Of French Fashion
Paris is known for many things. It is considered the city of love, the city of light, and it’s favored by travelers from all over the world for its food, culture, fashion, and more.
And while you may have already known that it’s known for its art, with incredible museums like the Louvre, did you know it also holds an annual art event known as Art Paris Art Fair?
This event, which attracts people from all over the world, features thousands of artists, typically hosts galleries, including 57% of French galleries and 52% of new galleries in 2013. While it honors several different types of art, it focuses mostly on modern and contemporary art, and it hosts 150 galleries from 20 countries.
The gallery hosts, including Director Guillaume Piens, aim to focus the event on the passion, wonder, and exploration that it takes to create a loved piece of artwork. This event hopes to display that, rather than simply using it as a financial medium.
A notable point about the 2019 event is that it took a focus to women and to female artists, including 25 French, female artists. For more information on this year’s Art Paris Art Fair and a look at some of the pieces included, check out the video above.
