The Meghan Markle Effect strikes again, with the Duchess of Sussex’s first visit to some local organizations in Birkenhead last week.

For her first joint engagement of the year with Prince Harry, the Duchess wore a bright red ensemble consisting of a scarlet red long wide collar wrap coat from Sentaler and a pair of bold red pumps from Stuart Weitzman.

Underneath her coat, the former actress also had on an elegantly vibrant purple dress from Babaton for Aritzia.

The royal couple first stopped to view the new sculpture of WWI poet Wilfred Owen in Hamilton Square, where hundreds of people were already waiting to meet them. Both Meghan and the Prince obliged, even shaking the hands of people who were gladly reaching out their hands.

Some of the local organizations included in the royal visit included Tomorrow’s Women, a charity for older adult women, and The Hive, a community center for older kids and teens from aged 8 to 19 years old.
