The official first day of spring is tomorrow but here at Chic Trends we like to be ahead of the trends so we’re giving you the must-have lip colors for the Spring season. As you may already know, Radiant Orchid was named Pantone’s official color for 2014 so it’s definitely going to be big this year but there are other colors that were popular on the runways and we’ve got the scoop on this spring’s must-have lip colors.
Orange. As soon most notably on Rag and Bone, orange lips are packing in a citrus colored punch this season. The trend calls for bright orange lips, almost neon, but there are only a few brave souls that will sport this on the streets so experiment with different shades of orange for the perfect orange pout.
Au naturale. Chloe, Balmain, and Alexander Wang, to name a few, went very natural and minimalist. The models were seen in barely there makeup that only perfected their skin and added a bit of glow to highpoints and lips were left untouched save for some balm. The minimalist makeup girl will love this trend as moisturized, natural lips are trending now.
Pastel colors. Burberry and Antonio Marras went the pastel route this Spring with their makeup. Although the trend calls for a wash of pastel on the eyelids, the same can be done for the lips. The key to this trend is to not go Nikki Minaj crazy with super light pastel colors but instead just dab a bit on the lips for a lovely pop of colors.
