Makeup trends straight from the red carpet

We’re nearing the end of awards seasons 2020 and are in that phase when we’re slowly drawing the line and summing up the fashion and beauty trends that will reach staple status for the remainder of the year. It is a well-known fact that red carpets are the most important foreshadowers of what is going to top the trend game and here are some of the highest-ranking makeup trends that we feel will be huge in the months to come.

Pretty in Pink
The ample selection of berries, reddish browns and all-kinds-of-pinks in all the major eye shadow pallets out there are definitely contributing to a trend that we’re seeing all over red carpets. Think Salma Hayek at the Golden Globes and Reese Witherspoon at the SAG Awards. The look brings out a certain soft yet sophisticated femininity and inspires thoughts of romance. It’s also simply, pretty.

Fresh’n’Easy
Easily the most noticeable makeup trend at the SAG Awards was one of clean, natural-looking glow, with purposefully underplayed eyes and lips that, as a whole, let’s natural beauty shine out from the inside. Charlize Theron, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, and many more bona fide beauties opted for this very statement and looked very comfortable while at it. Definitely taking note!

Her Majesty – The Red Lip
The classic red lip is firmly staying put as that universally-adored, timeless and nearly never a non-winner when it comes to creating a glamorous makeup look. The trick has always been in picking the most flattering shade for one’s skin tone.

Along with that, it’s good to be aware of the selected product texture and practice the application process, as a lip needs to be properly framed in order for the color to come through fully on its dominating intent. Zoë Kravitz, Kerry Washington, and Awkwafina’s makeup artists accomplished this task flawlessly, at this year’s Golden Globes.
