When Halle Berry first walked the red carpet at the 1997 Golden Globes, her outfit was more than just chic–it was sultry, sensual, and sexy all at once. Perfect for the playful and fun-loving actress who was just starting to shine in her career as a young Hollywood star.
Now at 52 years old, Halle Berry paid homage to her first Golden Globe appearance at the 2019 Golden Globes by wearing a thigh high slit gown reminiscent of the first dress she wore at the annual awarding ceremony more than two decades ago.
Adding to the extreme wow factor of her blood red gown were the subtle accents that didn’t escape the audience’s eyes: see-through design cuts all over the gown, a figure-emphasizing waistline, and above all else, a plunging neckline that made the youthful actress look even more timeless.
Although Berry wasn’t nominated for the Golden Globes this year, she does already have a few under her belt–two nominations for Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama and two nominations for Best Actress in Miniseries or Television Film. One of the latter two was for her role in the television film Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, which she won in 2000.
