One of the biggest jewelry trends in the last year or so have been the chic midi rings. They’re a bit unconventional but look so cool when layered the right way and can often be the jewlery pieces that tie a look together for the minimalist girl who doesn’t want to be too flashy. But for the girl who loves jewelry and wants it to really stand out, stacking midi rings with different designs and sizes can look like an art form albeit at a costly price since these little rings can start at $15.00 and go up to almost $70.00 for a set of four.

We’ve got a way to to make your own and save some money. You’ll need the following:

1. 16 gauge wire

2. Needle nose pliers

3. Flat pliers

4. A wire cutter

Take the wire and wrap around your finger of choice. You should wake it a bit longer so there’s enough of it to make a design. Once you have the appropriate length, cut it with the wire cutter. Take the needle nose pliers and curl the ends to make little loops for a cute design. Lastly, bend the loops inward so they lay flat on your fingers.

You now have your very own midi rings. Easy, right? Check out the video if you’d like to see a step by step tutorial.
