Prada set to release more colors for Adidas collab collection

Prada unveils its latest collaboration with athleticwear company Adidas for the Superstar sneaker collection. The capsule collection of sneakers will feature the iconic Adidas stripe along with the Prada logo on the side of the classic Superstar sneaker.

The latest collection by Miuccia Prada for the menswear spring 2021 line was described as, “The clothes are simple, but with the concept of simplicity as an antidote to useless complication.” This idea seems to carry over to the new capsule collection featuring the Superstar sneaker in all black, metallic silver with white stripes, and the classic white with black stripes.

The Prada version of the Superstar sneaker will feature premium full-grain leather material and no fancy bells or whistles for a minimalist sneaker style that is true to both brands. This collection will feature the unisex sneaker created by Adidas in 1969 and will be created in Prada’s Marche region workshops.

Though you might not be able to see the difference in the shoe style, you’ll be able to feel the difference in the premium material used by the luxury Italian brand. This collection will be the second-part extension of the first all-white Superstar collab sneaker.

The new Prada Superstar styles will be on sale starting September 8 at Adidas and Prada stores, but will also be adding more pieces to the collaboration collection later this year. Adidas and Prada plan to debut new collection pieces inspired by the sailing race known as America’s Cup that Prada has participated in this race since the launch of the Luna Rossa team in 1997.

The American Cup has a namesake sneaker that is one of Prada’s most iconic footwear designs that started a luxury sneaker craze. Prada hopes to carry on this footwear legacy with the help of Adidas with its new collaboration collection.
