Virgil Abloh knows that the best way to close down a show is with unconventional star power. The Off-White designer had a major fashion moment when supermodels/sisters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid displayed the final took looks in the brand’s fashion show late last week.
Much like Bella’s stint in the golden Ralph Lauren gown, the looks went viral only minutes after the show in Paris. Gigi appeared first wearing the designer’s ballgown.
The black dress was loose fitting with a slit up side that revealed it was styled with a pair of white sneakers – a classic Off – White Twist. Bella revealed the final look of the night, a gray and yellow checkerboard two piece ensemble with shorts and a cape that matched the runway for the evening.

Virgil continues to fuse the sports realm with fashion in his newest collection. The Off-White show had a race way theme that was interpreted literally with checkerboard prints prominently featured and loosely through the use of quilted puffers and bags. Brights, metallics, and the minimalism were also heavy influence in the collection.
The eyes of the fashion community have zoned in on Virgil since the designer accepted the position of Louis Vuitton Creative Director in March 2018. Everyone from the likes of Kanye West to Anna Wintour have been enthralled with the creative power and fresh aesthetic that’s tricked into mainstream fast fashion brands.
Its moments like these that only confirm Virgil is slated to become the next great American fashion designer.
