Pat McGrath Brings Beauty To PFW

It’s been a busy month for Pat McGrath. The mother of makeup/queen of the backstage provided glam for fashion shows in Paris and Milan, and launched her brands first mascara. The legendary makeup artist has influenced more trends than you can ever imagine on the runways – the graphic eye, the vampy lip, colored mascara, and her career long obsession with the dewy skin just to name a few. Being that her work is constantly followed by her cultish fanbase, its safe to say that we might have witnessed the birth of our next great beauty trend.

A signature twist on a blown out smokey eye, McGrath opted for varying shades of jewel tones to create a masterpiece. The result: a totally wearable look that you can easily recreate with the makeup artist’s must-have Mothership Eye Shadow Palettes

Louis Vuitton
McGrath’s makeup look for the Louis Vuitton show was infused with her best elements – graphic and glossy. The legendary makeup artist opted for a dramatic look to offset this ready-to-wear collections eclectic designs.

The epitome of new aged grunge. McGrath pulled off rocker chic minus the smudge by applying kohl liner to models lids and waterline, all while keeping the complexion fresh and youthful.

Givenchy Couture
Anything goes in a couture runways show including half of a face in holographic glitter. The world’s most legendary makeup artist, covered two model’s faces in glitter for the Givenchy Couture show in January. Videos of Pat applying the look, which included gluing down the brows and patting on the glitter became a viral hit with her cult following.

Valentino Haute Couture
Drama reached new levels with three sets of feather eyelashes at Valentino Haute Couture collection in January. Each set was custom-made to match the couture gown, and had an airy, romantic quality that floated down the runway.
