Along with looking great, smelling great is another top priority for us ladies. We lather, lotion and spritz on all different kinds of great smelling products in the hope that we will be smelling great all day, but in reality if you don’t apply your perfume properly you could actually only be able to smell the fragrance for as little as 20 mins.

What’s worse is that many of us ladies spend weeks tracking down the perfect scent and typically it doesn’t come cheap, so if you find that your perfume isn’t lasting very long you probably spritz on a little extra, which means you’re actually wasting money.  This problem can be solved with some simple perfume application tips the will leave your scent lingering on your skin for hours.

Find Your Perfect Scent
One of the keys to making your perfume last is making sure you start with the right one,  make sure you test the perfume by applying it to your wrist AND inner elbow. Applying it to both places is important because both the wrist and inner elbows are places with heightened blood flow, meaning that you’ll be able to better smell how the perfume interacts with the oils on your skin. Also be sure to opt for a high quality perfume, body sprays are great but in terms of long wear-ability you’ll want to opt for an eau de perfume.

Lotion Up
After your shower, apply UNSCENTED lotion to all of your pulse points, this includes your wrists, crook of the elbow, back of the neck and behind your knees. After giving the lotion time to dry spritz your perfume onto those spots, the added moistness from the lotion will hold your scent to your skin longer.

Don’t Forget Your Hair
Spritz 1 or 2 sprays of your perfume directly onto your hairbrush and go through your hair once you’re twice before leaving the house. This will help lock the scent of your perfume into your tresses so that with every turn of your head your fragrance is subtly enhanced.
