We are super excited about relaxed trousers which have been a huge trend this summer and are poised to keep up the momentum throughout fall and winter. What’s not to love about a trend that’s super chic, ultra wearable and totally comfortable, that’s what we call a triple threat trend ladies! This season some of our favorite celebrity fashion icons, like Elena Perminova, Candice Swanepoel, Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie and Rihanna have been rocking the oh-so chic relaxed trousers trend both on and off the red carpet. Whether you opt for relaxed leather pants, a relaxed trouser suit or even bold printed relaxed trousers you’re sure to look fantastic in this chic and comfy trend.

The relaxed trouser trend is one that can suit nearly any body type. Whether you find yourself a little lacking in the curves department or if you have plenty to go around, you can rock relaxed trousers and make them a valuable member of your wardrobe. With this trend it’s all about the fit and we have two particular favorites. Our first favorite style of relaxed trousers is a wide leg pair that have a good bit of length to them, these can be worn with your favorite high heels to create a looks that makes your legs appear a mile long.

Our next favorite cut of relaxed trousers is one in which the trouser is relaxed through the hip and tappers at the ankle. This type of relaxed trouser looks phenomenal with ankle strap heels, lace up heels, oxfords and white pointed pumps. One of the things we love most about this trend is that it can work for both the most casual and formal of occasions, making it just as versatile as it is chic.

Try The Trend Tips
As with any chic trend, there are a few tips you should keep in mind to ensure your rocking the trend at its best:

Try pairing your slouchy or relaxed trousers with fitted tops and blouses like a chic bralet top or fitted designer t-shirt. However, if fitted tops aren’t your thing never fear, because this trend looks great with blousy button downs and free-flowing boho inspired tops as well.

Remember that relaxed or slouchy trousers are not the same thing as harem pants, which tend to create that unflattering diaper-like effect that should probably be avoided at all costs.

The relaxed trouser trend is one that is both comfortable and chic, so we suggest you get your hands on a pair ASAP!
